IF24 is a fasting timer for iPhone with no accounts and no sign-in. Your fasting journal - your plans, your history, your settings - is kept on your device, and we run no server that holds a copy of it. IF24 does send limited usage statistics to Google Firebase Analytics, including how long a fast ran. That collection is described in full below. It is not linked to your identity, and it is never used to track you across other apps or websites.
IF24 has no accounts, so we never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or postal address, and we hold no profile of you. Your plans, fasting history, and settings are stored on your device. What IF24 does send to Google Firebase Analytics is the following.
Device identifiers - a Firebase app instance identifier. It identifies an installation of the app, not a person, and we never connect it to a name or an account.
Usage data - which screens you open and which actions you take: starting, finishing, chaining, or resetting a fast, choosing and confirming a plan, adjusting a time, opening or deleting a history record, opening the research sources, and reaching a streak milestone.
Health and fitness data - the length of a completed fast, the estimated metabolic phase it reached, your goal length, your current plan, and how long before a fast you logged your last meal. None of this is read from Apple Health or from Motion & Fitness: IF24 requests no access to either, and everything here comes from the timer itself.
Purchase events - that an IF24 Pro purchase was started, completed, failed, or restored, and which product it was. Payment details never reach us: Apple processes the payment.
Approximate location - Google derives an approximate region from the IP address your device connects from. IF24 itself uses no location services and never asks for access to your location.
We use this to see how the app is used and in which countries. It is not sold, and it is not shared with data brokers. In Apple's own privacy categories, the collection described above is: identifiers, usage data, health and fitness, purchases, and coarse location.
Google is the only third party that receives any of this. The statistics are collected by the Firebase SDK inside the app and held in Google Analytics, where Google processes them on our behalf as our processor. That processing is governed by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and the data processing terms they incorporate - which Google publishes as the Google Ads Data Processing Terms and applies to Google Analytics customers whether or not they advertise; IF24 runs no advertising. Those terms bind Google to process the data only on our documented instructions and to apply the security measures set out in them. We share this data with no one else.
IF24 shows no ads and contains no advertising SDKs. It does not use Apple's advertising identifier and never asks for tracking permission, because it does not combine what you do in IF24 with data from other companies' apps or websites, and shares nothing with data brokers. The one third-party SDK IF24 does include is Google Firebase Analytics, used only for the statistics described above.
If you rate the app or leave a review, that is handled by Apple through the App Store under Apple's privacy policy. IF24 receives no personal data from it.
Your fasting journal lives only on your device: deleting the app removes it, and we hold no copy of it to delete on your behalf.
The usage statistics are held by Google on our behalf and expire on their own. Individual events are kept for 2 months. The device-level record they are grouped under is kept for 14 months, counted from that device's last activity in the app. Deleting IF24 stops any further statistics from being sent, and because nothing further is sent, everything already sent expires within those periods without any action from you. Deleting the app is also how you stop the collection: IF24 asks for no consent to analytics and holds none to withdraw.
Because the statistics carry no name, email address, or account, there is nothing in them we can search by, and we cannot single out the records that came from one particular person. If you want to ask about your data anyway, write to leonif1@gmail.com: we will tell you what can and cannot be located, and act on anything that can.
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages and loads web fonts from Google Fonts. Those providers may process standard server request logs under their own policies. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
Questions about privacy? Email leonif1@gmail.com. We may update this policy as the app evolves; the date above reflects the latest version.
A calm, free intermittent fasting timer for iOS. No account. Your fasting journal stays on your device.
IF24 is a general wellness and timing tool, not a medical device. The metabolic phases it shows are estimated, based on typical fasting timing, and are not a measurement of your body. IF24 does not provide medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any fasting practice, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a health condition.
